Open tells how Andre was so good at tennis, he couldn’t help but pursue it as a career. The catch, he was good because his dad pushed him, not due to his possessing a “love of the game” that others such as Federer enjoyed. He had an all-too-common ‘emotionally abusive’ tennis dad. Interesting to read what Bollettieri Academy was like (RIP Nick), and how he wooed ‘Stefanie’ Graf away from her boyfriend of six years. I’m going to add this one to my list of all-time favorite books and can’t believe I only picked it up now, 14 years after it was published. Incredibly well-written, thrilling, relatable, hard to put down, and witty. It covers Agassi’s childhood and tennis career until his retirement at age 36, including his time at the Bollitieri academy, relationship with his crazy father, failed marriage to Brooke Shields, experiments with crystal meth, life with Stevie Graf, and famous rivalries with Sampras,

I didn't finish this because it's really dense but it was good. Andre Agassi is an eloquent writer and his story is dark and interesting. My only problem with it was the he tended to delve into detail about tennis (duh) and I am not really a sports person bit if you are you will probably love this.
