What Members Thought

Imagine Sense and Sensibility without the wit, the intrigue, the apt metaphors, or the compelling characters. Additionally, while Austen always makes us believe her improbable happy twists of fate, the reader's willing suspension of disbelief becomes a bit too strained reading this one.

It dragged a little, especially toward the end when the author bounced between characters and time without much interlude. Not quite as good as Schine's The New Yorkers but a nice light read.
