What Members Thought
The Silver Linings Playbook didn't change my life or anything, but I'm so glad I read it. It was entertaining without being so predictable that I was rolling my eyes. The characters were interesting, the plot was easy enough to follow while still having a few twists, and most importantly I couldn't stop reading it. The pace was perfect. I've been meaning to treat myself with some fiction whose main virtue is being a good story and this did the trick.

This was a very short, quick read for me, taking only two evenings to get through. I found it to be very real and as another reviewer said, honest. I felt like I was in the main character's head and was able to understand (in as much as he understood) what he was going through.

quick-read
Much better portrayal of mental illness than in the movie. The movie gave Tiffany sharper dialogue, but she was a much more fleshed-out character in the book. Loved the narration. It made much more sense, story-wise, than the movie.
I've read this before, but I enjoyed the audio version. The narrator sounds like the character and his acting really propels the story.
