Everyone has that one person who seems to be with you through thick and thin. Dex and Em are that for each other. The interesting thing about this book is that we only get to see Dex and Em's relationship change, grow, and sometimes break only one day a year (July 15th). Story spanning two decades as it follows two friends from college graduation into adulthood, catching up with them on the same day -- July 15th -- each year. Loved this book! It's a story of friendship and love told in a unique way. The author focuses on the lives of two people on the same day every year. The significance of this date is later revealed during the climax. Really quick read because it was hard to put it down. ...more

Dex starts out as a jerk and slowly turns into an extremely unlikeable character, to the point where I couldn't understand why Emma still put up with him. I also wasn't a fan of the ending, but I don't want to spoil it for anyone so I won't say why.

I read this for one of my book clubs, and we're going to see the movie for o

Objectively, this is a high 3. Subjectively, I adore Britain and this type of romantic plot. Loved loved reading this.
