I'm definitely not the target audience for this book--and it's not really the kind of children's book that can stand on its own for me as an adult reader.
However, I enjoyed it well enough & let out a few chuckles; I think it would be a fun book to read at the same time as a kid reader. I think it would work for both younger chapter book readers and older reluctant readers, because it has the advantage of looking like a medium-size hardback while actually being heavily illustrated & ...more

Not as good as the movie.
Really a surprise as I came to this from loving the cartoon. But I loved this version - Hiccup and the Hairy Hooligans are such a delight.
