This was a bowl of hearwarming oatmeal. The kind with the maple flavored nuggets in it. I don't think it's like OMG THIS IS A CLASSIC. I think it is going to spawn good conversation about racism among my high schoolers. But I also think it is one of the more froofy books I've ever read on racism...nothing happens to anyone that won't heal up with a few bandaids, and everyone ends up friends in the end.
