What Members Thought
I'm not sure if Marley & Me would resonate as much with those who have never owned a dog, but as the owner of a dog who can swallow a sock whole, so many of the anecdotes told by Grogan reminded me of my own dog...both good and bad. This was the 2007 One Book, One Mesa County book, so I did have the pleasure of meeting Grogan when he came to Grand Junction to speak at the event, and also had the pleasure of planning many community events associated with the One Book concept that revolved around

I just loved the scene in the airplane - I laughed until I cried!
Is it a cliche to say "I laughed, I cried"? Because both are true. I loved reading about Marley and his family; it brought up so many memories of when Nattie was young and wild. Why are poorly behaved dogs so much fun?! Loved this book. Any book that makes me laugh out loud, stay up late reading, and sob my heart out deserves five stars.
