What I think: After I turned over the last page of this book, I was completely mad as well as excited. In the start, Isobel Lanley is back but without Varen. In the first few chapters, we learn about Isobel's life from where we left off at Nevermore. Later we find out about Reynolds also known as the Poe Toaster. She tries to convince her father to take her to Baltimore to see Poe's grave which is apparently where Reynolds is. Then Gwen comes into the picture. During the first book, we see Gwen ...more

That ending tho..omg what the hell??? I really didn't expect that to happen..its like she went to save him in vain. I wanted to hate varen but i guess its not his fault entirely. Loved Gwen and her wittiness and Isobel's courageous spirit..I felt sorry for her parents, they were so oblivious as to what was going on with her life and danny was just so adorable. I hope that oblivion is in Varens POV and that he ends up saving her in some way..isobel went thru waay too much for him not to. I'd give ...more
