What Members Thought
Keep in mind that Anne Rice is one my absolute favorite authors, but I thought that this book was the worst out of the vampire chronicles, and most of her books. However, I will say that is probably necessary to set the scene, and all of that good stuff. I actually read this one after my absolute favorite - Queen of the Damned.
I really didn't enjoy this book. Anne Rice is the all time abuser of the adjective and the adverb. She just seems to try too hard to be flowery and comes off as uber-pretentious.
