It's a wonder how he survived through all the pain that were inflicted on him. This by far the best book of the series, and I've read it so many times. The past of Ash was very... filled with... I can't even contemplate the right word to fit this in. It was very brutal. I cried through out his unfortunate past. And after reading that, you can clearly understand why Ash is who is today.
