I read this book because I loved the 2007 movie starring Will Smith. After reading it though I felt that the movie butchered the book. This is yet another great story of apocalyptic survival. I'm a sucker for apocolyptic novels. It also has an amazing twist to the vampire genre. Written by an amazing author with a great writing style. If you love vampires you'll love this book. :D

Is a very interesting long short story, that deals with vampires being the product of a virus that attacks the human system. This produces symtoms that resemble all the legends of what Vampires where supposed to be like. It is very interesting how one man all alone manages to cope with a world that has crumbled around him. Chilling. Not my typical vampire novel, but I read this book long before the movie came out when I was just having a cup of coffee in a Borders. I don't know what made me reach for it, but after I started, I was hooked. It is really a very short read but it is mesmerizing. Better than the movie, and has a very different ending.
