Where do I start? I really enjoyed this book - it felt like I was watching a really great episode of Behind the Music. The author did such a masterful job of telling the story that I went in search of more information, convinced that the band was real, or at least heavily inspired by a real band. This book has a "mockumentary" format. It somewhat reminds me of Eddie & the Cruisers in book form. Except without a central member of the band disappearing under mysterious circumstances.

I love Taylor Jenkins Reid as an author. I’ve really enjoyed all her books and I was excited for this one. A book about a 70s rock band? Sign me up. Then I read the first page and saw the format. I flipped a bit ahead and saw the whole book was in that format. I continued reading, but I must say that I feel like this could have been so much better in non interview style format. I was not especially looking forward to this one, but I was completely taken in by it. This is the second book I've read from this author, love her stories.
