I highly recommend listening to the audio book. I couldn’t stop listening, wanting to know more. Each character is voiced by a different person and it just made listening so easy.

Where do I start? I really enjoyed this book - it felt like I was watching a really great episode of Behind the Music. The author did such a masterful job of telling the story that I went in search of more information, convinced that the band was real, or at least heavily inspired by a real band. I was downright giddy to hear that a mini series will be made. I am oddly excited to hear the music. Behind the scenes account of a 70’s rock band with all the sex and drugs. She captures the pressures of the road and the time needed to produce an album. What kept me on the edge of my seat was Billy’s struggle of fidelity and sobriety.

I love Taylor Jenkins Reid as an author. I’ve really enjoyed all her books and I was excited for this one. A book about a 70s rock band? Sign me up. Then I read the first page and saw the format. I flipped a bit ahead and saw the whole book was in that format. I continued reading, but I must say that I feel like this could have been so much better in non interview style format. It was so disjointed at times and I sometimes had to skip back to see who was speaking. It left me feeling kind of dist ...more
