I really want to read something by Butler that's *not* vampires. I am fussy and particular about vampires.
that said, even though this wasn't my favorite take on vampires, it *was* pretty compelling and fun to read. I'd pick a different edition though; this one seemed to be edited poorly and it tripped me up.
okay update. I've thought about this more and read some commentary on it and I think part of the reason I'm struggling with it is because it explodes vampire canon on purpose.... I definitely ...more
