What Members Thought

This was pretty good, I'm not much for celebrity bios but this looked and was unique in that the family didn't live in Beverly Hills as expected but moved to a farm.

I didn’t expect to like this as much as I did. Mostly I picked it up (on audio) out of curiosity since it takes place an hour away from me in Rhinebeck and because of my own connection to small towns. Hilarie’s enthusiasm is contagious. Some moments feel like she has rose colored glasses and is out of touch with her own privilege, but they’re balanced with others that feel much more real and self aware.

This was so much better than I anticipated. The sheer honesty and vulnerability was astounding. I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone (let alone a celebrity) share so honestly the hardships of life, marriage, and motherhood.
I listened to it via the Libby app. Planning to buy a hard copy just to have and one day reread when I’m older to discover the next round of life lessons. An excellent memoir.
