I think its safe to say that i've had quite the lucky streak when it comes to reading good books. So far, a book has yet to disappoint me.
I'd obviously read rave reviews about Colasanti's Keep Holding On and not being a stranger to her books i knew this was a sure good one. I don't know how to explain it, but its this feeling that you get and you instantly know that you will love this book.

I have to admit, the first thing that captivated me to this book the first time Susane revealed the cover on her blog a year and so ago was the cover! The girl's outfit was something I would wear at that time. Haha! Anyway, It turns out the book I bought was the one with the other cover . Sigh.
Anyway! This book made me cry a lot! I hate bullies! I am lucky enough to have not been bullied in high school. I mean my friends made fun of me a lot of times but I just shrug them of. And bullying is way ...more

After devouring Keep Holding On in a few hours, I am filled with so many emotions. I remember the heavy little girl who was picked on most of her life. I ponder the situation of the young boys in the neighborhood who feel the need to pick on a sweet 8 year old boy, and I cry with the 8 year old boy because he feels worthless and used. I wonder how many of my students really think about how they treat others and

Keep holding on by Susane Colasanti is about Noelle, who is having a terrible time at home with a neglectful mother and on top of that she has to go to school every day and face a bunch of bullies that keep her down.
The plot is unfortunately a real problem that teenagers have been facing for a long time, some of them just at home, while others at school. Only a few get to deal with both at the same time. The story is, as all Susane's stories, very well crafted. I loved the characters very much, ...more

I love susane colasanti's books! and this was no exception. This book is about a girl named Noel and she has a rough life. Her mother barely provides anything that she can live off, and at school she is picked on constantly. The whole entire book I was just waiting for her to stand up for herself and feel better about herself. I wish her project that she is working on would have been more talked about it and gaven more empowerment to people who might be in the same situation or similar as Noel.
