I'm not sure what to make of this book. I found that the names of the main two characters confusing at times, I thought I was reading about one of them when actually it was the other. I found Florentino quite disturbing. At the start of the book, was he writing love letters or was he just a bit of a stalker? As the story carries on he claims he's still in love with Fermina and would wait for her, but seemed to have many lovers. He was asked to be a guardian of a young girl and ended up sleeping ...more
