This was a cool story. Flavia De Luce is a great character and so easy to visualize because her voice is so clear. She's eleven, smart, snarky, has a wicked streak, and more character than most. I'll have to find more of Alan Bradley's Flavia stories.

So much fun! Flavia is a delightful combination of Nancy Drew, Scout from To Kill a Mockingbird, and Dexter from Dexter's Laboratory. She's almost unbelievably precocious, except that I know kids like that. And the book has some of my favorite lines ever, like "I'm not nearly at my wit's ends!" and "Oh, Chemistry, how I love thee!" and "I gave her half a smile and kept the rest for myself." The recording was fabulous- can't wait for the next one.

This was a fun audiobook to listen to! Not sure I get the feel she's 11; maybe more like 13, but still a great read, and I'll probably listen to all of them.

Flavia made me laugh out loud with great phrases like "without so much as a kiss me quick and pass the marmalade"- still waiting for a situation to use that one myself.

A little quirky but I'm enjoying it. Not a very satisfying ending.
