Reading it, I found that it bears a passing resemblance to Stephen King's "IT", which was way shorter and not as batballs crazy. It has glimmers and glimpses of true poetry and artful turns of phrase but since it was written apparently in the early sixties, it gets a tad cheesy and archaic and I feel like karma is going to beat the shit out of me but the book kind of disappears up its butt some of the time.
