I'll start by saying that my a big fan of the Stay Tuned With Preet podcast and as a subscriber to CAFE I also get to listen to the Insider podcast on Mondays with Preet and Anne Milgram (it's excellent so pay the subscription price). I've been anticipating Preet's book for a long time and preordered it the first day it was available. Terrific book about he U.S. system of justice. If you are looking for a political book, this is not the one for you. This book tells a story about investigations, trials, deliberations, and punishment. It is very interesting, and well written by a man of obvious integrity. I have never listened to a book before, and this is the one book I wish I had listened to instead of read, if only to hear Preet Bharara speak some of the words uttered by criminals. I loved this book.

An excellent book written by a very good man. It is difficult to understand how the justice system is designed to work, but Bharara offers detailed case studies to make it more understandable. It is not an easy read, but an important one.
