This book received the Caldecott Award. The genre is short stories.
The book is about three children who meet a panda and become his friend. The panda tells each child a short story that teaches the children how to treat others.
Activities:
1) This would be a great book to read while teaching a lesson on the Japanese culture.
2) It would also be a great book to use to teach children how to treat others. The students could create their own short stories that have morals.
