Sam Harris argues reasons to meditate and alter your consciousness to gain spirituality. He makes arguments that you can transcend your current state of feeling a self to feeling outside of yourself. I myself haven’t experienced this through meditation. Nor have I used psychedelics. Maybe I’m missing something? But I’m really not all that concerned with it, because I believe in gratitude, meditation, and many aspects of both caring for your health.
