Though it took me a little while to wrap my brain around hydrogen-breathing, living airships (that is to say "stop thinking they're stupid") I must say the alternate history swept me up. Slow going in the beginning as the reader (or at least I was) is still caught up in the fact that the two heroes are 15 years old. Perhaps the beginning was just slow anyway come to think of it but all is forgiven as the action picks up. I found that I juggled which character I wanted to hear from more though us

Well, apparently, you get Leviathan by Scott Westerfeld.
