What Members Thought
So far I don't like the manga adaptation, am I the only one? I don't think it adapted as well as it could have to the art form....I liked the novel well enough, although James Patterson is not my favorite author and after a few of these, I just don't think he took the series in the right direction, nor do I think he gave the young adult genre enough credit - it seemed to me that most of Max's thinking style (as written) was too imature. I'm not sure if I was the only one who read James Patterson's original book Maximum Ride and had trouble picturing um...everything! I'm sure that's why they made a graphic novel for it (or rather American Manga, is that even a term?). But they did cut some stuff out of the original story, no biggy. I am on to the second volume!
