What Members Thought
The essence of the book stands strong, but oftentimes the author tries to stretch the implications or comparisons a little too far. In his mind the destructive act and the procreative act are clearly linked. Also the Vietnam Vets and violence in society are important themes for him, I guess. Alas, those pet subjects distracted me from the essence. It gave me the impression much of the research was done to support his own experiences or beliefs.
