I discovered this author last year while on vacation in South Carolina. Indigo Isle was my first book (loved it!) and that was quickly followed by her Carolina Coast series (all great reads). So I was excited to receive an ARC of this upcoming release. Avalee and Rowan were childhood friends who married but divorced six years ago. They are thrown together to work on a project: revitalizing a ghost town. This story was the perfect blend of second chance romance and found family with a sprinkle of

This was a very healing novel for me, and appropriate to have read right around Mothers' Day. While my own story of loss was not quite what Avalee and Rowan had experienced, seeing what they went through (through Avalee's memories as well as conversations), and how they eventually chose to hold onto hope in the One that gives as well as takes away reminded me of my own journey to restoration.

I have yet to read a T.I. Lowe book I did not thoroughly enjoy. This follows that pattern beautifully. In fact, it's going to go almost at the top of my T.I. Lowe book list(nothing will ever top Indigo Isle for me). This is a truly compelling story and I couldn't put down. It has a fantastic cast of characters, humor and emotion and perfect ending. Loved this read!
