I loved how this entire story played out. The emotional landscape was rich and thoroughly plowed. The hero was incredibly dreamy and yet realistic and believable. The heroine's issues were compelling, interesting, and clearly well-researched. The minor charactor, Riley, was probably the best portrayal of a screwed up kid that I've ever read. I was pleasantly surprised on this book. A young women is running from fears she has had since she was a young girl. She returns how to help her niece and is able to face and conquer her fears. I enjoyed Ms. Jones' writing style.

I really enjoyed this book. I liked how it dealt honestly, yet as kindly as possible, with topics like mental illness and addiction. The main topic, fear, was also handled with grace.
I also really liked the characters. They felt very 'real' to me: there was a good balance of good and bad points to each of the main characters, with the *possible* exception of Connor, though he had his moments of mistrust and grumpiness, too. This is the first time I've read a book from this author. And I will definitely be reading more of her books.
