Noah, Noah, Noah...how delectable you are with those "suckable lips"!!! I just loved this book! My first read of author, Elizabeth Reyes’s, writings. I just couldn’t stop reading this novel until I found out how it was going to end! And, like I said, Noah was just sooo nice a guy. So hot! So gorgeous! Wow! And, then there’s Veronica Cruz. Twenty-eight years old and alone. After just losing her mother to cancer and letting herself gain forty pounds, she just does not care a smidge about her life. Noah, Noah, Noah...how delectable you are with those "suckable lips"!!! I just loved this book! My first read of author, Elizabeth Reyes’s, writings. I just couldn’t stop reading this novel until I found out how it was going to end! And, like I said, Noah was just sooo nice a guy. So hot! So gorgeous! Wow! And, then there’s Veronica Cruz. Twenty-eight years old and alone. After just losing her mother to cancer and letting herself gain forty pounds, she just does not care a smidge about her life. Best friend, Nellie, tells her it’s time to get out of her funk and start living again. With Nellie’s encouragement, she talks Veronica into trying out the gym on 5th Street for a free one-week pass. There’s no way that Veronica wants to go to a gym and let anyone see how looks now! But, Nellie, has a way with words, and here the two women now stand in the gym surrounded by sexy hot guys while they wait for their trainer. And, here’s where Noah Quintanilla, their trainer, comes in. And, my Lord, is he sweet, caring, protective, and supportive all roled up into one! That magnificent sculpted body is training at the gym to be a boxer (sigh). And, ohhh, he’s an orphan too (tears). I couldn’t help but feel for the guy. Oh, and did I mention that he’s only nineteen years old? But, don’t let that age fool you! He was more of a man than some of the older male characters in the book. And, you’ll see what I mean if you read it. Now, you probably know where this book is headed with my short synopsis, so I won’t go into many details. But, what I will say is that there are major hurdles that they have to overcome before these two will even think about being a couple. One couldn’t help but root for them, though, because they were meant to be together. The two have major sexual tension going on, but Noah, being the strong dynamic man that he was, knew exactly what he felt and what he wanted. And, nothing was going to stand in his way. “Roni”, on the other hand, had major issues with their age difference, and the fact that she had been burned before. And, how did she know that Noah just wouldn’t get sick of her the older she got, and abandon her? So, there’s major stuff going on with her. But, Noah, just being Noah, is patient with her, which through time, allows Roni to realize that Noah is not a young immature kid but a grown up experienced man. The author also introduces us to Noah’s friends; Gio, Abel, and Hector - also boxers at the 5th Street gym. They’re a great group of friends that support and lookout for each other.

Ms. Reyes writes a book full of compassion and fear. Fear of taking a chance. A leap of faith – not knowing if it could prove to be disappointing and hurtful with a love so tender and beautiful. She makes the character of Noah such a loving man who is not embarrassed to profess his feelings even if he could get hurt. He’s an immensely likeable character with his alpha male persona and warmhearted nature. Roni, once she let down her walls, knew she had a good thing with Noah. And, trusted him solely. I would definitely read this book again. So looking forward to reading the next book in the series, Gio! I hope it’s just as good. So, glad that I found this author!

I loved this book. The only thing that kept me from 5 stars was the epilogue. I guess I am old fashioned and think that if they are far enough along in a relationship to make a decision to try to get pregnant that they should at least be engaged or married. An oops is a different story. I have no doubt they will get married, just bothered me for some reason.

3.5 stars....I enjoyed this book and the character of Noah, but I felt that it was a bit redundant at times and Roni irritated me....I have heard good things about this author, though, so I wil check out her other books.

This was a very sweet story. I went back between a 3 and 4 rating as the angst of Noah and Roni getting together was sometimes a bit much. But I settled on a 4 because of Noah!! He was such a thoughtful guy and really stole my heart. I look forward to hearing more about these two in the upcoming companion books.
