This book impressed and blessed me. It is short in length and broken up in several sections, making it a facile but profound read.

The author starts out with a background to how the book came into being, as well as a personal Spirit baptism that he had. He reflects on a powerful vision, and then presents four (abridged) letters for the church.

Inspired Writings of a Prophet for Jesus the Christ was recommended to me by a dear friend of mine. She, knowing how my personality is, felt this would be the book to read and I read this with a mouth opened wide.

The book is a short book, but don't let the shortness fool you. Gregory Book shares what God showed him in the 90s. This is a wake-up call for the church to stop sleeping (which I have been saying a good portion of this year) and heed the call to holiness/righteousness. The profound me ...more

Gregory A Booker's book "Inspired Writings of a Prophet for Jesus the Christ" holds truths that many Christians may be unfamiliar with. Few churches preach with authoritative power about the role of Israel in God's divine timeline. A lot of them dismiss God's passion for those He calls His "chosen". They also remain oblivious to the role of the Gentile church. Those sensitive to the Holy Spirit are attuned to world events, knowing well that what plays out in our news fits neatly into God's plan Gregory A Booker's book "Inspired Writings of a Prophet for Jesus the Christ" holds truths that many Christians may be unfamiliar with. Few churches preach with authoritative power about the role of Israel in God's divine timeline. A lot of them dismiss God's passion for those He calls His "chosen". They also remain oblivious to the role of the Gentile church. Those sensitive to the Holy Spirit are attuned to world events, knowing well that what plays out in our news fits neatly into God's plan as detailed in the Bible. In poetry, psalms and prophetic writing Gregory expresses with passion both his love for his Lord, Jesus, and his determination to make Him known.

I love God’s word and am a devoted student of it, so his book was not a challenge to me. Instead, I sensed that what he had to say was what the Lord had been telling me as well. I truly do believe that he has heard from the Lord and that his word is timely and inspired by Him. Those who care about the Lord and His Word (one and the same actually!) will resonate with this book. It becomes then an affirming, confirming work. It cannot help but encourage the believer.

The Lord obviously assigned this role to him to get this prophetic word into the hands of those who have not yet grasped it - to those who are sitting on the fence - as well as to those who are blissfully ignorant of the passing of time and the impending return of the Lord.

While is it is unpopular to discuss sin, Gregory does not shy away from presenting it as God views it. Although a brief book, it is a faithful retelling of insight that Gregory received from his times of prayer and worship in the presence of God. The writing has a choppy, raw feel to it, in keeping with the author's fastidious intent to maintain the integrity of what he heard from God, by recording it precisely as he received it.

It is impossible to miss the love he has for Jesus as reflected in his statement "I personally have found more joy being in the Lord, than doing something for Him and, as result, seem to do even more for Jesus."

Intended to be source of encouragement for readers, the author articulates his goal by stating that
"I want to restore the faith and the hope that was set two thousand years ago, with prophecy being the vehicle of delivery as the Spirit giveth."

In the book “Inspired Writings of a Prophet”, Mr. Booker shares four prophetic utterances which he also refers to as letters and a few spiritual poems that was birth out of his personal fellowship with God. You can hear the cry of G. A Booker’s heart as he shares his experience and spiritual insights attained through fellowship with the Lord Jesus Christ.
A quote from his book that grabbed my attention is, “Many Christians come to church but fail to come to Christ” and this is known to be true. ...more
