A charming account of a vociferous collector of Proust memorabilia, the perfumer Jacques Guerin and a light-hearted exploration of Proust's early love life and familial relations. Fascinating reading on a true Proust fan/fanatic's quest to salvage Proust's papers, artifacts for posterity working both against Proust's family and in league with them. We have a great deal to be grateful for in that much would have been lost relative to the writer had this not become such an obssession for our perfume magnate.
