I rather enjoyed this whimsical read. I happened to come across this book somewhere here on Goodreads and decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did! After a couple of dud books in a row, it was good to get back to my guilty pleasure of, I suppose, dark fairy tales. After reading this book, I may just have to hunt down "The Child Ballads" this book is based off of. I know for a fact that I will be back for the next book.
