An awesome book written by an awesome author. Eka Kurniawan is an Indonesian writer and screenwriter. In 2016, Kurniawan became the first Indonesian writer to be nominated for the prestigious Man Booker International Prize. Man Tiger is that book.

The story starts with a murder. The tiger residing in Margio, our hero, bites the jugular of Anwar Sadat, and kills him. We spend the rest of the book finding out the background of why.

4.1 – It is for this kind of books that I travel the world on pages.
A Greek\Shakespearian tragedy takes place in a small Indonesian village\town by the ocean.
The murder takes place in the first line of the book. Killer and victim named. The last jigsaw puzzle of the why is laid in the last 2 lines of the book. These last 2 lines are powerful- they breath hot air into the whole book.
