What an Enchanting book!
Sisters, revenge, a cursed town, mystery and romance all set in modern times!

I knew I would love this book as soon as I saw the cover. After I read the synopsis I was hooked. But nothing could of prepared me for how captivating this tale was. The story was so magical and beautiful. The tragic tale made my heart melt. I want more of this story!
I will be doing a full review of this one soon on my blog. I felt that this was a fantastic amalgamation of siren mythology, 1800's era witch hysteria, and paranormal goodness. It's certainly not a happy story, but I struggle to find fault on it.

I must say I did not realize what I had been missing when I finally picked up this book. I do not believe that the synopsis written for it did it justice in the way it captured my attention by the end of the first two chapters. It did, however, take me much longer than usual to finish it - though this had nothing to do with the book itself. If I had not had so many things going on after I picked up this book of my TBR shelf, I would have surely devoured it in one sitting.

This is more like 3.5 or maybe 3.75 stars, but rounding up since we can't give partial stars. Very fast paced with a different plot than anything similar I've read before. I loved the idea, and for the most part, enjoyed how it was carried out. I'm not sure why, but it felt kind of shallow though. I wanted to make deeper connections with the characters, but couldn't despite finding the story intriguing. Still a good book and I'm glad to have read it. I'd definitely read more by the author.
