A quick, easy read, but fun and delightful. It's one of the very few where the movie is incredibly similar, and in fact, maybe even outdoes the book (gasp!). I quite enjoyed it and even though I saw the movie just a couple of weeks ago, this makes me want to watch it again.

It's a weird thing to say about a non-Jewish fiction book, but this story is a perfect though simplistic illustration of cross-generational hashgacha. To put it non-Jewish terms: justice ultimately gets done, even though it takes generations to play out. I read this for my own pleasure when my kids were too young for it, introduced it to my oldest, and am looking forward to doing the same to my younger ones.
