When this came up as one of my book group reads, I was very excited because it was a childhood favorite of mine; I had read and reread it many times. Another re-read for me, this was delightful as the first time (or two?) reading it through.
I, was surprised by the number of Christian and scriptural references, some directly speaking of Jesus, that were used, although characters also alluded to Buddha and other figures from other world religions, which made that aspect a bit confusing. L'Engle seems to be promoting religion or philosophy in general, though the majority of her quotations came from the Christian Scriptures.

I have had this on my TBR list for a while. I always believe you should read what is considered to be a classic at least once a year.
I personal liked the manga version of this book better. In this version the characters seemed so flat. I wish the details of this were as beautifully portrayed in this version as the manga.
