Dark for a children's story, but with some neat flights of fancy. Pure escapism, a little bittersweet.

It is so pleasant to re-read the classics from childhood from time to time. This is the novelization of the play by J.M. Barry. I loved my VHS tape with Mary Martin as Peter Pan when I was growing up and this book reminded me of all the poignant moments in the play. The written story of the classic tale of Peter Pan. Generally enjoyable, but there were some parts in Neverland where is was long winded and difficult to follow
