What Members Thought
I haven't read anything quite like this before. Trainspotting manages to feel like a light read and remain entertaining and amusing while touching on multiple gritty and desperately sad subjects. The book also strikes a strange balance of normalising a life of heroin addiction while still being regularly utterly repulsive. What a ride though, through one of the most messed up groups of characters I’ve ever met. The main challenge: sometimes wrapping my head around the characters' Scottish accent
