What a beautiful story! Fulfilling all of my “Once upon a time...” wants and needs. I went in to this book with high hopes and I was not disappointed. A genre-bending story with some historical fiction, magical realism, and mystery. I was kept on my toes and loved the way that the story ended! Would recommend:)

I couldn't sustain interest in the plot at all, I didn't truly care about the characters, and the pages upon pages of description were mind numbing. I could definitely see this working for certain readers, but I am not one of them. ...more
