Read for the Frisco Undead & Unread Book club (did I get it right finally Amy?)
I give it a solid “Meh.” There was so much over explaining of the science and not enough story. Seriously I think it took 3 chapters to discuss cutting a hole in an aluminum bubble.
So the plot is kinda of a petty criminal caught up with mobsters while living on the moon.

A quick read with some flaws
Overall, this was a quick read with some very likeable characters. Everything came together in the end and the humor of Weir's first book was here. On paper, it should have worked.
However, I don't think Weir did himself any favors by making his main character female. He never quite got that voice right and it affected the rest of the story. His first book's main character's off beat humor worked in large part because he was alone and talking to himself. This main char ...more
