I will begin by saying this is not a bad book. It was very readable, however it was not what I expected.

The title of the series is the murderbot diaries. There is not murdering. There really isn’t even a bot, nor is there any explanation on this AI/ programmed clone/robot thing works.

I’m still not sure exactly Murderbot really is. Rogue cyborg-ish automaton rented security unit doesn’t quite cover it. Yeah, it’s only his nickname for himself but this was unique and never dragged.
