This was a quirky humorous little story which can best be described as if the Month Python people did a book about the apocalypse instead of finding the holy grail, but it is so slow and takes forever to get going.

An angel, Aziraphale and a demon, Crowley have both been living on earth since the beginning of time (which is 4000bc). They have formed a unique friendship and have decided they like living on earth and would rather not see the world come to an end. When Crowley is given the anti-Chri

I read this for the first time more than twenty years ago. I've been meaning to te-read it for quite some time, and I finally did because the honor society I advise chose it for book club this spring. While I remembered a lot, there was quite a bit I had forgotten, and the book still made me giggle quite a bit. ...more

I finished listening to this book I didn't actully read it. I don't care I would listen to again that is how much I loved it. This book is british comdiec delight. This book what happens when the apocalypse is arriving and the anti christ has been misplaced. I propbally would not recommend this book to people deep rooted in their faith as in some things are little out there but if you can laugh at your religion then this book is for you. I have to agree that just left everyone can find their own ...more

In many cases, I could not find that nugget. In many other cases, I spent time searching, only to find that the thing I found was not, in fact, related to the plot at all, but just a side note to the ...more

3.5/5 stars

This is an irreverently funny account of the apocalypse. Everything had this kind of tongue-in-cheek tone to it. At times I felt the authors were a little heavy handed on getting their points across, but overall I really enjoyed this.
