Overall I liked the book, but it really didn't seem like Fantasy at all. It won all of these SF and Fantasy awards, but there are so little elements of Fantasy in the book that I don't understand its genre classification.
(So I guess what I'm saying is I don't really understand why the Magic Realism genre is classified as Fantasy. This was my first experience with this genre and I don't think I'll visit it again.)
