Let me start by saying that I freaking love this book! I love all the characters, the plot and the journey they had that led them to true love. I even love the supporting characters and I can't imagine the book without them. America was a fun and loyal friend and I felt that in a way, the author also wrote a story about her in this book.

I have to say that Travis made it to my Top Ten List Of Fictional Male Characters I Wish Were Mine. And his brothers are also totally loveable. I have to say that Travis made it to my Top Ten List Of Fictional Male Characters I Wish Were Mine. And his brothers are also totally loveable. I would so love to read a book about each of them. The way the author described them made me very curious about how they would find the love of their lives. Back to Travis, I love how overprotective he was in the book and how he felt he wasn't good enough for Abby. Well, then again, he didn't feel that any guy was good enough for her. I like the fact that even though he was a fighter in the book, he was also very sweet to Abby and that he showed her how much he loved her.

I like Abby too. I know why she tried to convince herself she didn't like Travis and I don't blame her. Anyone with a past like that would probably be afraid to be with Travis no matter how much she wanted to give in. I understand why she made the decisions she did in the book and I agree with her on every single one of them. I sometimes felt like I was reading a real story about two real people. That was how believable the whole book was.

This book definitely made me cry at times but that was what made me love it so much. It felt as though I was going through the heartbreak with them. Like I was actually a part of them. I could barely put my book down to eat, let alone sleep. I love the book and the author and I hope that she will go through with her idea to write a book about Travis' brothers. I look forward to reading more of her books. I just bought the book Providence today. Love you Jamie! I have no idea what I would do without her writing. Hell, I don't know what I would do without all the amazing goodreads authors I have found and the ones out there I have yet to discover.

Everyone I know and including all my friends in Goodreads who has read Beautiful Disaster loved it.Now I can say I'm one of them 'cause this book was simply WOW!!WOW and OMG are suitable words to describe this book.

Some people didn't like the book and I don't get them.Travis isn't asshole thought I have to admit that if I was a character inside the book when he was angry he would have scared the shit out of me but personally I like his bad boy attitude.

Abby.Sometimes when I was reading the book I stppoed it and started to wonder what the girl was thinking and caught myself wanting to read Walking Disasterinstead cause it's from Travis POV.I don't get how she doesn't understand that she is in love with him.Especially when she says things like:
It felt right lying next to him and I hugged him tight.I was exactly where I wanted to be.
She doesn't want to admit it because of her past and the whole thing with her father.I don't think that the things I said above should make you think less of the book because it's very rare for me to say a good word about the female heroine.But to be fair she also has a sense of humor.
Travis is the the typical bad boy.He smokes,has a Harley and to earn his living he fights(not with the legal way)he has a shaved head and tattoos.He studies Criminal justice and as Abby says he seems more criminal than justice.He is the one-night-stand guy and has break many hearts even though everyones knows he doesn't do relationships.His behavior shows what he really feels and I found it romantic when he gets a tattoo with her nickname aka Pidgeon.I can't wait to read his POV.
America and Shep have their ups and downs in the book but it's obvious they love each other.
Parker and Kara are my least favorite characters for unknown reasons.Maybe they will end up together.

And for the end my favorite quotes:

This book was AMAZING! Throughout the book i was either a.) smiling b.) crying uncontrollably c.) laughing hysterically.
This book was my first strictly romance, and to tell you the truth my expectations weren't that high. But WOW! was i wrong.
First, i loved how this book started right in the action. Within the first two pages you've already meant the guy, and your already in love with him.

Let me start by saying this: WHAT THE FUCK?! I finished this book just now and I'm speechless. I'm serious. Also, I fell in love. With Travis, of course! Travis is an asshole, a really, really bad guy, a bad influence, a psychopath and a lot more, but I DON'T REALLY CARE! He's so fucking great, if you ask me. I love him!

I'm probably going to regret the lack of sleep from tonight, but I just couldn't continue this constantly starting and stopping, I was making myself crazy.

What a freaking whirlwind ride, this book was. And as crazy as it made me, I loved it. Yes, I wanted to pull my hair out half the time, but hey since Abby and Travis were making themselves crazy, why shouldn't I go crazy as well...HONESTLY, I loved it.

It’s taken me a while to get put ‘fingers to laptop’ (somehow doesn’t sound as good as ‘pen to paper’ does it?) on this book, partly because I’ve found it difficult to separate my thoughts on the story in itself from the split reaction Beautiful Disaster has had among other reviewers (very few people give it a middle-of-the-road rating - it’s a love it or hate it book it would seem).

Firstly – the story – the characters are certainly YA, although I would honestly characterise them as ‘older YA’ It’s taken me a while to get put ‘fingers to laptop’ (somehow doesn’t sound as good as ‘pen to paper’ does it?) on this book, partly because I’ve found it difficult to separate my thoughts on the story in itself from the split reaction Beautiful Disaster has had among other reviewers (very few people give it a middle-of-the-road rating - it’s a love it or hate it book it would seem).

Firstly – the story – the characters are certainly YA, although I would honestly characterise them as ‘older YA’ – they are not 19 year-olds in the Bella Swan mould, but pretty ‘real’ from a drinking, partying, first-time-away-from-home, frequently reckless side of things. This is why the synopsis features a clear indication of suitable audience (it did when I purchased for Kindle at least).

Abby and Travis are certainly not perfect individuals – and at times border on having some serious personal flaws – however, (aside from being a fighter for money [Travis] and poker player supremo [Abby]) they are reasonably realistic in their behaviour: they behave quite randomly in their relationship, antagonising each other one minute, then in perfect bliss and harmony the next. I certainly saw a number of similar ‘car crash’ couples like this during my late teens and early twenties, who would veer from one end of the spectrum to another with seemingly endless frequency. Some people will never experience this, or will do it to a lesser degree, then ‘grow out of it’. There are others still who will remain in couplings like these where volatility appear to be the basis of attraction and even the relationship itself.

Abby and Travis quite often lack self-awareness and this drives many of their misunderstandings and subsequent conflicts. But this for me, felt realistic. When you’re really learning about yourself for the first time and what it is like to be away from family influences and your past you do some weird things – that’s because it’s all new. You decide something because it seems like the best thing to do – maybe you think that’s how ‘grown-ups’ behave, or you saw it on TV and want to emulate that behaviour in your own life as you begin to understand where your own morals lie. You certainly get lots of things wrong, but that is the whole point – it’s a time to make mistakes and the right choices, but there’ll always be a mixture of the two.

So for a book rating I’d say 3.5/5 – I enjoyed reading it, got through it quickly and I engaged with the characters. Overall – the book flows well, the dialogue is quick and the dramatic episodes are fun. As a YA romance/coming of age book it works. Yes there are some spelling issues (latter half of the book) but you can see for the majority of readers that doesn’t bother them. The plot is a rollercoaster ride with Abby and Travis veering from one experience to another as they work out who they are and what they want – I liked the uni life and parties the best. The Vegas episode was fine, but it didn’t especially add to the story for me, but I can also see why it was there. Travis and Abby are ‘big’ characters and so you get some spectacular fireworks around them – which you’ll know from other reviews is probably one of the most divisive features for reviewers.

Simply loved how at first Travis & Abbie where really close friends, how Travis protected her against all kind of things, how he never left a opportuny to flirt with her.. lol
And what a great epilogue! we got.. Thank you Jamie! :)

Another reason why I loved Travis from the very first moment is because he reminds me a lot of my own Husband .. he's just as jealous, protective and loving as Travis is towards Abbie :)

Since this book came in the bestseller list there are a lot of negative people trowing bad reviews around.. I personally have read this book way before it was a bestseller and I loved it then and I love it now just as much, even more because I have read this book 6 times already.
For all those negative people out there saying that Travis is abussive towards Abbie, that he stalks her etc.. then those people have not met or heard about who/what a stalker is and what he does.. A stalker does not love, A stalker is obsessive about the person and mentally unstable.. Travis acts the way he does out of love! He isn't used to this feeling so it takes time for him to adjust his ways, it's all strange and new..

And someone who is abbusive is 200x harsher in there words, actions than Travis is + Travis does not lay a wrong finger on Abbie once, not once! He doesn't call her names or treat her bad in any way possible..

I personally can not wait for book #2 'Walking Disaster' to come out, it will give us a whole new light on this book because this time we see/hear everything out of Travis his POV.. People will see/hear how he really is feeling inside, how the feelings he has for abbie is slowly changing him ...more

Beautiful Disaster is a beautiful, intense, passionate, and a very romantic love story. It's one of those novels that beg to be read over and over again. I, for one, have decided to read this again because I wanted to write a review on the book. I don't know why but I think I fell in love more with the characters. I'm glad I've read it again because I got to revisit my favorite scenes as well as those which I seem to have forgotten.

I LOVE THIS BOOK!

The title speaks it all! This one is a beautiful disaster! This kinds of stories, bad boy and good girl falling for each other, is pretty common but still, this one rocked it! It has a certain pull that keeps you reading.. Although the characters can be pretty annoying sometimes..

And speaking of characters, here's what I though of them:

Abby is a really cool girl. I'll have to give her credit for being a brave, smart, and witty character. She's not that kind of character that mak I LOVE THIS BOOK!

But I admire her for knowing how to control her feelings for him at certain points. Although I think she just can't make up her mind sometimes.

Then there's Travis. I really can't see him as a total bad boy seeing he is pretty loyal, smart, and funny! Okay except that he likes to sleep around every girl and dump them the next hour. What's so cute about him though is his affection for Abby. He respects her, and truly loves her. Although there are times I'd like to rip him to pieces for making poor decisions and being overly possessive towards Abby. Another cute thing about him is how he calls Abby "Pidge or Pigeon" That is just so cute! And each time they're together I can't help but swoon and giggle!

but here's all I do each time Travis and Abby would go on and off and one of them would make those stupid decisions that would make things worst!

And there's also America and Shepley which shares a very cute relationship. They're really very cute too and how they're both loyal to each of Abby and Travis. And oh! The Madox family which is also pretty awesome! I loved how they address Abby as "sis" especially when *spoiler* Travis took Abby on Thanksgiving and they already broke up.

Anyway, this is a pretty cool story.. Pretty similar and reminded me of
Perfect Chemistry and Easy and oh! of Pushing the Limits but also on a different level! This one's an awesome read! ...more

I have read this many times, even bought the book whilst also having the kindle edition just so i could have it on my bookcase. But i just thought i would quickly say what i thought about it just to STRESS how good this book is.

Well its AMAZING.

I have lost count on how many times i have read this book.

And now to find out there will be a movie? ICING ON THE CAKE.

Beautiful disaster is a perfect romance story with the right amount of Biker Bad Boy (TRAVIS) to win a place on my bookshelf.
