Why must you shatter my heart this way?! WHY!
It starts off slow. I'd call it a political thriller with zombies. More politics than zombies but they are there. Post-apocalyptic world with zombies from a virus. Bloggers are basically celebrities now.
That nutshell doesn't do it justice though. I fell for the characters. It made me think a bit, with the way society had become and everything. And then it RIPPED MY HEART OUT.
And man do I love the way it made me think! But I don't want to spoil anyt ...more

Feed takes place in the year 2039, 25 years after the zombie outbreak that occurred in 2014. In this novel, the characters are not facing a full on apocalypse. Despite the presence of zombies, much of society is intact. There are fully-operating restaurants, blogs, and even a presidential campaign. I get the feeling that I'm going to be the unpopular opinion here, because this seems like a well loved book and came highly recommended. It's been on my radar for a long time, lurking in the peripheral vision of to-read books, and I finally clamped down and read it. Almost 600 pages in all its glory. And yet I still didn't even really like it.
