The Child Thief is my third book by Brom, and as always his work is beautifully written and told. Krampus and Slewfoot are two of my all time favorites, and I thought this would surely be as well but I just couldn't connect with it.
I'm not sure if it was because it was so high fantasy or because it had way too many overused and cliché tropes but I was bored for at least 80% of the book. The end was fantastic. However, my only thought was "Thankfully, it's finally over."

the beginning of this book was a little slow for me but once you hit the 50% mark, it picks up. overall, I thought the book was so wonderful and enchanting. I will never think of Neverland the same way again.
