An epic dark science fiction novel that kept my attention from start to finish. This is just part 1. I'm looking forward to part 2. So far, my favorite David Wellington novel to date.

I would rate this 6 stars if I could!

This is without doubt one of the most exciting books I've read in a long time! The plot is mysterious with lots of unexpected surprises, there's tons of action and danger plus I actually cared about the characters. The more I read the more I liked them. They were far from perfect and they each had some flaws but that only made them more real to me. Ok, I’m going to get right to the point. Paradise -1 is entertaining but there is wayyyyyyyyy too much set up! When I say way too much set up, I mean almost the whole book is set up. :o I’m not even kidding. We spend the whole story learning about the characters and what is going on around the planet Paradise -1.

I understand it is book #1 in a series, so there will be set up for the series. BUT, 681 pages / 21 hours + is a lot. It
