What Members Thought

This novel is cut clearly into two areas. Firstly when Esther is in New York 'sane' but clearly thinking differently from the other girls, and secondly after her trip to New York ends and her 'illness' develops. I was warned that this book might be depressing, but I didn't find it to be so. In fact, the portrayal of someone wishing to die was handled intelligently and in quite a matter of fact way.
