The only reason I read this book was because it was mentioned as one that links to the Dark Tower series. It doesn’t really tie into the series but different aspects are mentioned in this book, which to me are always fun to find as I read. It turns out that I ended up really liking this book. I was a little worried at first whether I was going to actually finish this book.

This was an alright book, though not one of King's best. I didn't really get the whole purpose of the supernatural things that were in the book, though it was interesting seeing the mythology incorporated throughout it. It would've been fine with no supernatural stuff; it just felt added on, so it could be another obvious dark tower connection. I'm severely in doubt whether to reward this book with three or four stars. Let me start by saying that in general i like this book. It wasn't as horrifying as most King books but still grusome in it's own way. I liked the story very much from the beginning. The characters are well developed and i can only too well imagine the horror Rose must have felt. But the aspect of Rose going through the painting into another world was a bit too much for me.
