I knew everybody loved this book, but for some reason I never felt like reading it (I blame the cover). But, oh my god. It was amazing. It was perfect. I read it in a day because I couldn't put it down. ❤

Mas quando Étienne passa por uma situação muito triste e difícil em sua vida, a única pessoa em quem ele pensa para conversar, desabafar e sentir apoio é Anna. E então...

Amei "Anna e o beijo francês". A leitura fluiu de uma maneira gostosa e fácil, tanto que li esse livro no mesmo dia que recebi. O modo como a autora compôs o cenário foi tão bem escrito que senti como se estivesse em Paris, foi uma das características que mais gostei no livro. Os personagens foram bem construídos, mesmo os coadjuvantes. Os personagens não simplesmente aparecem na história, a Stephanie mostra a história, os problemas de cada um, e isso contribui para a beleza do livro.

"Algumas pessoas têm preconceito sobre ir ao cinema sozinhas, mas eu não. Porque quando as luzes se apagam, a única relação que ainda existe na sala é entre mim e o filme."

Não acredito que demorei tanto para ler esse livro! Foi uma das experiências mais engraçadas, fofas e apaixonantes que tive com livros esse ano. Anna é uma personagem muito engraçada, me identifiquei com ela em alguns pontos e queria MUITO ser a Anna, ir nos lugares que ela foi, conhecer Paris como ela conhecer e principalmente sentir o que ela sentiu pelo Étienne, uma amizade tão bonita, um amor tão forte, sentir pertencer à uma pessoa, achei isso lindo! Esse livro é um dos meus favoritos, acho que todos deveriam ler, acho quase impossível alguém não gostar do livro.

"Nossos olhos se encontram, e ele vai abrindo um sorriso vagaroso. Meu coração bate cada vez mais rápido. Quase lá. Ele coloca o livro de lado e se levanta. E então este - o momento em que ele diz meu nome - é o momento em que as coisas mudam."

Absolutely adorable.
Anna's life was fine. She lived in Atlanna, Georgia with her divorced mom and her little brother Seany. She had a rocking best friend Bridgette and a co-worker crush Toph. Her father, the hotshot romance writer, decides to change her life for the better and sends Anna to the School of America in France for her senior year. Anna is thrown into a foregin country without knowing anyone. Immediately she meets Mer and along came her group of friends. (Bam!) The love interest is in Absolutely adorable.
Anna's life was fine. She lived in Atlanna, Georgia with her divorced mom and her little brother Seany. She had a rocking best friend Bridgette and a co-worker crush Toph. Anna is thrown into a foregin country without knowing anyone. Immediately she meets Mer and along came her group of friends. (Bam!) The love interest is introduced. St Clair or Étienne is the guy that every girl dreams of... goofy smile, romantic, GREAT hair, friendly, funny, and yes, he has a British accent. At first I thought St Clair's interesting mix of being American, French, and British was too cliche. I mean really? WHEN DOES A GIRL FROM GEORGIA MEET A GUY LIKE THAT? But don't get me wrong, he is far from perfect. I think Perkins counteracted his amazing qualities with some not so fabulous traits. St Clair is badly afraid of heights. It's so bad that he has trouble walking up steep stairs. He has a bad habit of biting his nails, which isn't something I look for in a guy (but hey, if you do then St Clair's the guy for you). He's also short. Anna is taller than he is. He compares himself to Napoleon Bonaparte! The worse thing about St Clair is his girlfriend Ellie, his older more mature girlfriend who he's been dating for over a year.
I loved the overall plot of this and the scenes when Anna and St Clair are together! The way he visits her at random times, the way he showed her France, the adorable unique thoughtful gifts, the trips to the movies, everything was just so cute! The friendship between them is very relatable, and if you can't relate to it then you would wish you can. The scenes where there's tension between the two are just perfectly... Lifelike! There's never the sappy, "He broke up with me and now my life is over," junk. They have arguements and fights with yelling and door slamming and one walking away from the other and it just makes their relationship all the better.
The other friends and students in Anna's life I didn't like too much. First there's Meredith. Mer was the first one Anna met, her first friend in France, the one who introduced her to everyone. She's the artistic, tomboyish, soccer loving girl,with genuine best friend qualities. I liked her character and wished She was more into the story. After St Clair was introduced Mer was pretty much gone. Rashmi, just like Mer, she didn't have that big of a role. She was wasn't the most social of characters and mostly when she was mentioned it was related to Josh. Josh, the only junior of the group was.. Ehh. He's also a minor character who appears occasionally. Dave, the disgusting, jerk face, junior was just awful. Read the book, you'll know what I'm talking about.
All in All...
The Good- descriptions of France, relationship buildup between Anna and St Clair/Étienne, the interesting words Bridgette uses
The Bad- minor friends, the constants reminders of cancer, the too perfect St Clair with his American/French/British background, the flawed St Clair with his HEIGHT, nail biting, and phobia of heights. ...more

I was doubtful whether I would like the book or not when I picked up to read it. But after crossing 20 pages in the book I couldn't leave it without completing it. Anna is a completely and amazingly believable character. I was so immersed in the book that I hardly noticed that I was up all night long to read it. I wish the book had never ended. Its definitely recommended for everyone!!! ...more

This is such a cute book!
I really liked it.
It was very easy to relate to the characters and their feelings (though St Clair did piss me off a few times...)
A fun, light read.
I definitely want more of Stephanie Perkin´s books!
