I cannot think of a book that has spoken to me more directly in a particular period of time. The "Rules of the Religion of Love" articulated by Shams state universal truths that we all realize deep down, but it is the way that the message is put together that really penetrates to our core essence.

One thing I feel when I read an excellent book, I never wanted it to end!! This simply what has happened with me with the beautiful enchanting mesmerizing novel (and allow me to write its original name): "The Forty Rules of RELIGION of Love".

Firstly each writer has their own way of writing and Sufi mysticism is a concept that's not going to be grasped by everyone.
When I read a book, I'm more interested in the soul of it so to speak, I want to get lost in it instead of being pedantic and concentrating on outer mistakes, which I feel is missing the point of reading a book. Hmmm concentrating too much on the outer niggles than letting yourself delv into the soul of it, something Shams of Tabriz would probably say ;oD
