Reading Cloud Atlas is getting a 6-in-1 package. At first I really couldn't read the book, I was really trying, for the language used in The Pacific Journal of Adam Ewing is foreign and old to me, but that is the point where you press on and see the magic that David Mitchell has yet to perform. The different writing styles and characters blend brilliantly into a continuous story that flows with time. Very interesting narrative. I enjoyed the linguistic styles tied to the different eras - frankly spellbinding. The story all come together in the end, sewn together by the most delicate thread. Memorable.
